Sometimes you eat food that just blows your mind. I loved this Chicken in Almond Sauce from Oaxaca.
Although it was delicious, it was a little time consuming. I had to fry raisins, almonds, garlic, onions, sesame seeds, plantains and a piece of bread one ingredient at a time until browned and smelling awesome.
All of that was blended with spices and cooked for some time with tomatoes. It was topped off with green olives and pickled jalapeños.
